Corporate puppy yoga at a Houston office: how one company ran it for 50 employees
In October 2026 a Houston energy-data company brought Pawty Yoga into its West Houston office for about 50 employees: two back to back classes, eight Maltipoo puppies, one carpeted training room, and nobody had to leave the building. Here is how it came together, how the day ran, and what the organizer wrote the next morning.

We get a version of this request most weeks: a company wants puppy yoga for 40 to 75 people on a weekday, at the office, usually for an appreciation week or a wellness day. This event is the one we point to when someone asks what that actually looks like. The client is not named here. We never name corporate clients publicly unless they ask us to, which is part of why office teams are comfortable booking us.
The setup: what the company wanted
The ask: a weekday puppy yoga event for roughly 50 adults in a training room at their own office, so nobody had to travel or lose half a day. Adults only.
Before we talked format or price, we vetted the space. For a group this size the room matters more than anything else, so we asked for:
- Photos and approximate size. A class of 25 needs about 25 mats at roughly 6 by 2 feet each, plus walking room for the puppies and crew.
- Indoors with air conditioning. Puppies and Houston heat do not mix.
- Flooring. Carpet, tile, or concrete all work, but each changes setup and cleanup. This room was carpeted.
- Who approved animals in the building. The owner or property manager, not just the team booking the event.
- The start time, so we could plan the breeder's drive and our own load-in.
Once the room checked out, we recommended the format we now use for almost every large weekday office group: two back to back 45 minute classes of about 25 people each, with a 15 minute reset between them. Each class runs an all-level yoga flow with the puppies loose among the mats, then opens into puppy play and photos before the next group rotates in. Splitting 50 people into two groups is what keeps the puppy-to-person ratio real. In one room of 50, half the team would spend the hour watching from the back.
We bring everything: the breeder partner and the puppies, a certified instructor, mats for every guest, our puppy care crew, setup, and cleanup. Paperwork followed our standard corporate flow: a signed contract, a deposit invoice with the balance invoiced separately, a waiver link created just for this company so employees could sign on their phones ahead of time, and a certificate of insurance available for the building. We offered our complimentary event photographer and the organizer said yes.
How the day ran

It was a Thursday in October 2026. Here is the sequence, start to finish.
- Before the first class. Our crew arrived early, checked in, and set the room: mats for 25, a rest pen for the puppies in a corner, puppy pads and sanitation supplies staged. The breeder arrived with eight Maltipoos and gave them a few minutes to settle.
- Class one. About 25 employees took their mats. The instructor ran an all-level flow while the puppies wandered and climbed onto mats, then the room opened into free puppy time and photos.
- The reset. Fifteen minutes: mats wiped down, room refreshed, puppies resting in their pen while the second group arrived.
- Class two. Same format for the second half of the team. Same eight puppies, a little sleepier, which is its own kind of entertainment.
- After. Breakdown, sanitation, and a final sweep so the training room went back to being a training room. Our photographer shot the whole event, roughly 80 photos and more than 80 short video clips, so the company had real moments from its own office instead of stock images.
From the company's side, the whole thing happened inside their building, inside a normal workday, with no venue rental and no buses.
What the team said
The next morning the organizer sent us a note. The line we keep coming back to:
"That was officially my best day at the office ever."
That reaction is why this format works where a lot of team building does not. The bar to engage is zero: no scoreboard, no performance pressure, no forced vulnerability. A puppy climbing onto someone's mat breaks the ice faster than any facilitator can, and introverts, extroverts, new hires, and executives all end up on the floor having the same uncomplicated good time.
It is also inclusive in a way happy hours are not: alcohol-free and non-competitive, so the people who skip after-work drinks are right in the middle of it. Research links time with puppies to lower stress and a lift in mood, and people go back to their desks recharged rather than drained. The photos are a bonus. Teams leave with pictures they actually want to post.
What it costs and how to book
Corporate events are custom quoted, because a weekday litter and crew are arranged specifically for your date and offices add paperwork and load-in. Straight from our corporate puppy yoga page:
- Most single sessions land between $1,800 and $2,800 depending on weekday or weekend, headcount, and building access.
- Back to back sessions on the same day are priced lower per session because the team and puppies are already on site. That is what makes the two-class format for 50 people work.
- Everything is included: puppies, handlers, certified instructor, mats, travel, setup, cleanup, and a certificate of insurance naming your company or building. We carry $1M general liability coverage year-round.
- PO, ACH, or credit card, itemized for finance, with Net 30 available for established companies. One flat written quote within one business day.
To book, send your date, headcount, and a few photos of the room through the corporate page or our private event inquiry. Three to four weeks of lead time is comfortable for a weekday slot, more for December. For the broader picture on puppy yoga pricing in Houston, see how much is puppy yoga.
Office puppy yoga, frequently asked
How many employees can do puppy yoga at an office in one day?+
Each class holds up to 25 people, so larger teams book back to back classes with a 15 minute reset in between. Two classes cover about 50 employees, which is how the company above ran it, and three classes cover about 75 people in an afternoon. We can plan a full day for teams of 150.
Does puppy yoga work in a carpeted conference or training room?+
Yes. The event above ran in a carpeted training room at the company's own office. We can bring and install floor protection, or your facilities team can cover the floor ahead of time. Send photos of the space and we will recommend the simplest option. We bring puppy pads and handle any incidental cleanup.
What does our company need to provide for an office puppy yoga event?+
A clear floor area of roughly 300 square feet for 15 guests, scaling up from there. A corner where the puppies can rest between rotations. A sink or restroom nearby and a trash bin. About 30 minutes before and 20 minutes after your window for setup and cleanup. Freight elevator or dock access if you are above the ground floor in a tower. And confirmation that the building owner or property manager has approved animals. We bring everything else.
