What a puppy cuddle session is actually like
You take your shoes off, use the hand sanitizer at the door, and find a spot on a blanket. The breeder brings in the litter, usually 6 to 10 puppies at 8 to 16 weeks old, and our handlers start the rotation so a puppy lands in your lap within the first few minutes and keeps changing over. Some puppies want to play, some want to nap on you. Both count.
Handlers show kids (and plenty of adults) how to hold a puppy properly, keep water down for the litter, and move any puppy that needs a rest into a quiet retreat space. We never wake a sleeping puppy, and the breeder is on site the entire time. Photos are encouraged; we send you the candid ones we take.
What you do not need: yoga clothes, flexibility, experience with dogs, or a reason. What you should skip: bringing your own dog, wearing anything you would hate to get a paw print on.
Why puppy cuddles feel the way they do
This part is not marketing. Petting a dog for about ten minutes measurably drops cortisol, the stress hormone, and raises oxytocin, the one behind a good hug. Heart rate slows. People talk to strangers. That is why puppy time gets booked for finals week, for teams in the middle of a hard quarter, and for people who just had a week. How much does a puppy cuddle session cost?+
A private puppy cuddle session at our studio on a scheduled studio date is $1,175 flat for your whole group, up to 24 people. At a private venue we arrange it is from $1,350 for up to 20, and at your own indoor space it is from $1,400 plus travel for up to 20. Split among friends that is under $50 a person. If you just want puppy time for yourself or a couple of friends, a public session ticket is $60 and the last half hour is all cuddles.
How long do you get to hold the puppies?+
Handlers rotate the puppies around the room so every guest gets lap time, and the puppies get rest breaks in a quiet retreat space. In a 60 to 90 minute private session most guests hold several different puppies. We never wake a sleeping puppy, and we will always tell you why a puppy is taking a break.
Is puppy cuddling good for stress?+
Ten minutes of petting a dog measurably lowers cortisol and raises oxytocin, the same hormone behind a good hug. Most people leave a cuddle session calmer than they arrived, which is why offices book puppy breaks and why we get so many requests for cuddles without the workout. Are the puppies rescues?+
