Houston Puppy Yoga — the city's first dedicated studio
Pawty Yoga is Houston's first and only dedicated puppy yoga studio. Beginner-friendly 75-minute classes with vetted puppies, held at our Memorial-area studio — plus private puppy yoga events anywhere in Greater Houston. No yoga experience required. All ages welcome.
Why Houston was overdue for a puppy yoga studio
Houston is one of the most dog-loving cities in America — fourth-largest, top-ten for dog ownership rates, with year-round patio weather and a deep ecosystem of breeders, rescues, dog parks, and pet boutiques. And yet, until Pawty Yoga opened, there was no permanent Houston puppy yoga studio. Locals had to wait for national pop-up brands to swing through town, hope they could get a ticket, and accept a one-size-fits-all experience designed in another city.
Pawty Yoga is built differently. We're locally owned, year-round, and the room is purpose-built for one thing: putting Houstonians on a mat with puppies for 75 of the best minutes of their week. The class is gentle enough for a complete yoga beginner, the puppies come from vetted Houston-area breeder partners, and the booking flow is simple — pick a session, show up, breathe, pet a puppy, leave happier than you came in.

What a Houston puppy yoga session looks like
75-minute beginner flow
Gentle vinyasa on a sprung dance floor — easier on knees than a typical hardwood studio. No experience required.
6–10 puppies, 20 guests max
A puppy-to-human ratio that actually works. Puppies roam, play, and yes, occasionally fall asleep on your mat.
Vetted ethical breeders
Every puppy is health-screened and properly socialized. We don't work with mills or unvetted sources, full stop.
Photos welcome the whole time
Phones and cameras stay on. Capture the moments — most guests leave with a new lock-screen photo.
$60 all-in
No add-ons, no upsells, no surprise studio fees. One price covers the class, the puppies, and the room.

Private events →What to bring to your Houston puppy yoga session
Short answer: almost nothing. Houston puppy yoga at Pawty Yoga is a deliberately low-prep experience. Here's what guests actually find useful.
- What we provide: Yoga mats, the puppies (6–10 per session), the instructor, water, and the studio space. Show up, you're set.
- What to wear: Comfortable workout clothes you don't mind getting paw-printed. Leggings or shorts work better than loose pants — and avoid loose tops that puppies will tug on during downward dog.
- What to bring (optional): Your phone or camera for photos, a hair tie if your hair is long, and your own water bottle if you prefer it over ours.
- What NOT to bring: Your own dog (public sessions have screened puppies only), strong perfumes (puppies have sensitive noses), or expectations of a hardcore yoga workout (this is play-meets-yoga, not Bikram).
- When to arrive: 10–15 minutes before your start time. We do a quick puppy-meet-and-greet at the beginning — you don't want to miss it.
How Pawty Yoga is different from the national chains
A handful of national puppy yoga brands route through Houston a few times a year on pop-up tours. We don't have anything against them — but the experience is different, and it's worth knowing why before you book.
- We live here. Pawty Yoga is Houston-owned and Houston-based. The instructors are local, the breeder partners are local, and the studio doesn't pack up and leave town on Sunday.
- Year-round, not pop-up. National brands sell out tickets months in advance because they're only here for one weekend. Pawty Yoga's Houston sessions run on a regular schedule, so you can pick the date that actually works for you.
- Smaller, calmer rooms. Our 20-guest cap is intentional. Some national tours run 30–40 people per session — which is more revenue per show but a meaningfully worse experience for the people on the mat.
- Ethical breeder partnerships. We vet every breeder, in person, and we know where each puppy slept the night before class. That's a standard we'd rather lead on than chase.

Real moments from real Houston puppy yoga sessions
Rather than fabricate testimonials, here's what actually happens in the room — patterns we see at every session:
-
😂Laughter, not silence. Houston puppy yoga doesn't sound like a regular yoga class. It sounds like a room of adults quietly losing it because a Cavalier just face-planted into someone's mat.
-
📱Photos for weeks. Guests post their session photos for a long time afterward. The puppy-on-the-yoga-mat content basically writes itself.
-
🔁Repeat bookings. A meaningful share of guests book a second session before the first one ends. We didn't plan it that way; it's just what happens.
-
🎁Gift bookings. Birthdays, Mother's Day, anniversaries, mom-friend hangouts. Houston puppy yoga has quietly become a gift category.
As we collect formal guest testimonials, this section will feature them directly. If you've been to a session and want to share your experience, email [email protected].
Houston puppy yoga — frequently asked
Where in Houston is puppy yoga held?
Our public sessions are held at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in the Memorial Area — 12649 Memorial Dr, Suite G1, Houston, TX 77024. Private events run anywhere within a 60-mile radius of Houston, including Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, The Woodlands, and Spring.
How much does Houston puppy yoga cost?
Public sessions are $60 per person, all-in — that covers the 75-minute class, time with the puppies, and your spot at the only dedicated puppy yoga studio in Houston. Private events are quoted based on group size and venue; contact us at [email protected] for a custom estimate.
Do I need yoga experience to take a puppy yoga class in Houston?
No. Pawty Yoga's Houston classes are deliberately beginner-friendly. The flow is gentle, the pace is forgiving, and frankly, half the room ends up sitting on their mat petting puppies — which is exactly the point.
Where do the puppies come from?
All puppies at Pawty Yoga's Houston sessions come from vetted, ethical breeder partners. They are health-screened, age-appropriate, and properly socialized for a class environment. We do not work with mills or unvetted sources.
How many people are in a Houston puppy yoga class?
Each public session caps at 20 guests so the puppy-to-human ratio stays meaningful. With 6–10 puppies in the room, that's the difference between actually getting puppy time and watching someone else get puppy time across the room.
Are kids and seniors welcome at Houston puppy yoga?
Yes — all ages are welcome. Kids 5+ can fully participate; younger kids are welcome on a parent's mat. Seniors and people new to yoga are some of our most enthusiastic guests because the flow is genuinely gentle.
Can I book private puppy yoga anywhere in Houston?
Yes. Pawty Yoga travels for private events anywhere within 60 miles of Houston — birthday parties, bridal showers, corporate wellness, team offsites, and date nights. We bring the puppies, mats, and instructor; you provide the space (a living room, office, club, or backyard all work).
Is Pawty Yoga the only puppy yoga in Houston?
Pawty Yoga is Houston's first dedicated puppy yoga studio. National pop-up brands occasionally route through the city, but Pawty Yoga is locally owned, year-round, and the only operator with a fixed Houston studio and standing public sessions.
What time of year is best for Houston puppy yoga?
Houston puppy yoga runs year-round at our indoor Memorial-area studio, so the weather isn't a factor — we're climate-controlled and never weather-dependent. Spring (March–May) and fall (October–November) are our busiest seasons because guests like to pair the class with a Memorial Park, Buffalo Bayou, or Hermann Park walk afterward.
Can I gift a Houston puppy yoga session?
Yes. Gift bookings are popular for birthdays, Mother's Day, bridal showers, and mom-friend group gifts. Email [email protected] with the recipient's name and the session date you'd like, and we'll handle the rest. We can include a custom gift note.
What dog breeds appear at Pawty Yoga's Houston sessions?
Breeds rotate depending on which of our ethical breeder partners are placing puppies that month. Past sessions have included Golden Retrievers, Cavaliers, Labradoodles, Bernedoodles, French Bulldogs, Mini Goldendoodles, and Cavapoos. We post breed reveals on our Instagram before each session.
Is Houston puppy yoga safe for the puppies?
Yes — puppy welfare is non-negotiable. We cap class sizes, build in puppy-rest periods, monitor temperature, and only work with breeders whose facilities we've vetted in person. Puppies are with us briefly during the session and return to their breeders the same day. We do not subject puppies to long days, excessive handling, or unsafe environments.
How do I book a Houston puppy yoga session?
Online via our booking partner — click any "Book Now" button on this site, pick your date and time slot, and pay $60 per person. Sessions cap at 20 guests and often sell out, so book early. For private events, email [email protected] or call (281) 408-4647 for a custom quote.
What's the cancellation policy for Houston puppy yoga?
Cancellations 7+ days before the event get a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable, but you can transfer your ticket to another person by contacting us. See our Terms and Conditions for full details.
