Puppy Yoga for Katy: we come to you
Honesty first: a 30-minute drive each way is a lot to ask for a public class. So for Katy, Cinco Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch, Firethorne, Elyson, Fulshear, and Richmond we lead with private events, we bring the puppies, mats, and instructor to your home, HOA clubhouse, or rented venue, from $900 for up to 20 guests, all ages. (And if you're up for the I-10 run, the Aug 8 & 9 public sessions in Memorial are open to anyone.)
Why Katy families book us
Katy might be the most event-ready suburb in the Houston metro. Cinco Ranch alone has thousands of homes spread across villages with their own amenity centers, and the newer communities keep raising the bar: Cross Creek Ranch and Jordan Ranch out toward Fulshear, Firethorne along FM 1463, Elyson up on the Grand Parkway. Nearly every one of them comes with a clubhouse, a community pool pavilion, or a rec room that sits empty most Saturday mornings. That's exactly the kind of space a private puppy yoga event thrives in.
The weekend competition out here is real, Typhoon Texas in the summer, Katy Mills on a rainy day, dim sum crawls through Katy Asian Town, free fishing at Mary Jo Peckham Park, patio afternoons at No Label Brewing. Puppy yoga slots into that lineup as the thing nobody in the group has done yet: a 75-minute beginner-friendly flow with 8-to-16-week-old puppies wandering the mats, every one of them vaccinated, vet-checked, temperament-screened, and sourced from vetted ethical local breeders. Guests spend half the class in poses and half taking photos, and that's the point.
Because Katy is about 30 minutes west of our Memorial studio via I-10, we've flipped the model for this side of town: instead of asking 20 people to drive in, we load the van and drive out. One inquiry through our private events page and we handle the rest.
What a private event in Katy looks like
Same Pawty Yoga formula as our public classes, just hosted at your venue: from $900 covering up to 20 guests, all ages welcome, puppies, mats, instructor, and cleanup included. Tell us the date, headcount, and location at the inquiry form and you'll have a quote within 24 hours. The four formats Katy asks for most:
Kid birthday parties
The number one Katy request. A backyard in Cinco Ranch or a community pavilion, puppies for an hour, then cake. All ages at private events. See puppy yoga birthday parties.
Bridal & baby showers
Showers at LaCenterra-adjacent venues, clubhouses, and Cross Creek Ranch living rooms. Puppies photograph better than any backdrop wall, and the candids become the favors.
Team events on the way in
Half of Katy commutes to the Energy Corridor, which sits right on the I-10 route between us. We run corporate sessions at Energy Corridor offices all the time.
Katy ISD PTA fundraisers
The PTA sells the spots, we run the session, and 20% of ticket sales go back to the PTA. Gyms, cafeterias, and clubhouses all work. Details on puppy yoga fundraisers.
Venue tip: Katy's master-planned HOAs are the easiest hosts in Houston. Most amenity centers rent to residents for a small fee, and a clubhouse floor fits 10 to 25 mats with room for the puppy pen.
Prefer to drive to us? The public sessions
If a public class is more your speed, the Aug 8 & 9, 2026 sessions at our Memorial-area studio (Fred Astaire Dance Studios, 12649 Memorial Dr Suite G1) are open to everyone. From Katy it's a straight shot east on I-10, about 30 minutes in normal traffic, and parking at the studio is free. Sessions are $60 per person, 75 minutes, four time slots each day, capped at 20 guests, and kids 7 and up can join with a participating adult. Book a spot here.
Katy regulars turn it into a loop: morning session in Memorial, then back west for lunch at LaCenterra or Katy Asian Town. The drive stops feeling like a drive when there's a puppy photo roll to scroll through at the other end.
Drive times from Katy neighborhoods
All routes run east on I-10 to Bunker Hill, then south to Memorial Drive. Times assume normal weekend traffic.
Memorial studio address: 12649 Memorial Dr, Suite G1, Houston, TX 77024, Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Free on-site parking. For private events, these drive times are our problem, not yours: we travel to any of these neighborhoods.
Katy-specific questions
Is there puppy yoga in Katy itself?
Not a public class, not yet. Our public sessions run at our Memorial-area studio in Houston, about 30 minutes east of Katy via I-10. What Katy does get is the come-to-you format: we bring the puppies, mats, and instructor to your home, clubhouse, or venue anywhere in the Katy area. And if a Katy venue partner ever wants to host public dates, we're listening, email [email protected].
How much does a private puppy yoga event in Katy cost?
Private events start at $900 and that covers up to 20 guests, puppies, mats, instructor, and setup included. Tell us your date, headcount, and Katy location through the inquiry form and we'll send a quote within 24 hours.
What kind of venue do I need in Katy?
Anywhere with enough flat floor for 10 to 25 yoga mats and a way to keep puppies safely contained. Katy's master-planned communities make this easy: HOA clubhouses, community pool pavilions, and rec rooms in Cinco Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch, Firethorne, and Elyson all work, and so does a living room or covered backyard patio. We bring everything else.
Can kids join?
At private events, all ages are welcome, which is why kid birthdays are our most-requested Katy format. At the public Memorial sessions, kids are welcome from age 7 and up, accompanied by a participating adult.
Can you do a Katy ISD PTA fundraiser?
Yes, and we'd love to. The PTA fundraiser format works great: we run the session, your PTA sells the spots, and 20% of ticket sales go back to the PTA. It fits an elementary gym, a cafeteria, or a community clubhouse. Email [email protected] with your school and target date, or read more on the fundraiser page.
I'm in Sugar Land, is there a closer page for me?
Yes. Sugar Land, Telfair, Riverstone, and First Colony have their own page at puppy yoga for Sugar Land with routes and neighborhood details for the southwest side. Same come-to-you private events, same public Memorial dates.
